Okopako Lodge is on the south side of the Hokianga Harbour, 5 km east of Opononi.

Look for our road sign as you travel west on State Highway 12 (The Twin Coast Discovery Highway).

If you are coming from the South through the Waipoua Kauri Forest, drive to Opononi and then continue on exactly 5 km to Mountain Road, which is on the right hand side at the top of a long hill. The Lodge is 1.4 km up Mountain Road.

If coming from the North, Mountain Road is 10 km from the Rawene turnoff. Drive through Whirinaki village and up a long hill. Mountain Road is on the left hand side.

If you are coming across on the Hokianga ferry, Kohu Ra Tuarua, from Kohukohu (North Hokianga), please note that the latest ferry from the north side of the harbour is at 8 pm. For details of the ferry timetable and fare(s) please refer to the Hokianga ferry website.

The Hokianga Link is the bus service to Omapere from Kaikohe and Kerikeri. For the timetable and fares please refer to the Hokianga Link website.

Mountain Road is a gravel road so please drive with care.
